No Sharps

Plenty of people only have the basic 8 notes with no sharps, and they are always on the hunt for charts that work for their bells.  So I have made an index of songs with no sharps just for them.

However, if you only have 8 bells I don't think you need to limit yourself to the charts you can find that don't require sharps.  Granted, if you play a song with just bells it's going to be obvious if the sharps are missing, but plenty of people don't play the bells by themselves.  They are often used to accompany singing.  If you are singing the song, I think you can sometimes get away with leaving out the sharps.  Playing bells is a great way to get kids engaged in reviewing a song repeatedly.  Even if some of the bells are missing, the kids still enjoy it, and the sharps don't necessarily need to be present for it to be a good review activity.  For performing, bells can be an accent to the singing without need to hit every note.  You may be able to get away with the missing sharps.  So if you don't have the sharps still try other songs that may require them.  You may be surprised at how they go.

  1. Hello, I would love the handbell music for A Child's Prayer. For some reason it is not selectable. Could you tell me how I can access it?
